When a vibrant young family approached us to design their 5,000-square-foot new-build home in Lafayette, they envisioned a place that felt timeless, welcoming, and distinctly their own—a forever home where family life could unfold and lasting memories could be made. Working from the ground up alongside Stryk Construction, we developed a fresh interpretation of the contemporary farmhouse, grounding the home in classic architectural details and natural materials while introducing a more collected, artful sensibility.

A restrained neutral palette creates a sense of continuity throughout the home, while expressive textiles, patterned wallcoverings, and thoughtfully chosen accents bring warmth, color, and personality to each room. Art became a defining element of the design, often serving as the starting point for a room’s palette and helping the interiors feel layered rather than overly composed. The result is a bright and inviting family home that balances antiques with contemporary pieces, humble textures with refined finishes, and timeless design with moments of joyful surprise.
